4th of July Fun and a Trampoline Too

Pete finally bought the kids a trampoline or should I say, it was a gift for me. I love it! Oh ya, so do they. I've been teaching the kids all the games I used to play growing up. It's been so much fun. But as you can see from the pictures, the boys still love their video games. Pete and Jacob love playing WII together.

I took Anja to the doctor today to get meds for her new diagnosis of ADHD, like we all didn't know. Anyway, Anja told her we got a trampoline and she got super nervous. She said,"You know how dangerous those are? You could break your back. You're so accident prone. You don't want to be in a wheelchair the rest of your life, do you?" She sounds just like Pete. The doctor then got back to the business of meds and asked Anja if she could swallow a pill. Anja told her she swallowed a grape whole one time. The doctor said,"You shouldn't do that. You could choke." Then she plugged her ears and told Anja not to tell her anthing else.

We went to Schofield for the 4th celebration. The band Kansas was there. I thought I would recognize their music but I didn't. When they said, "Here's a song from 1974I realized I had been too young. The fireworks were okay but...it's kind of a let down from New Year's Eve fireworks. Then it took us an hour to get off post. We did get some cute pics of the kids in the great outfits my mom bought. One is of Megan doing her favorite thing. Can you guess which one that is? There were a lot of free booths and as you can see Megan won a hat from Geiko. Jackie and Anja are wearing some other wierd hats they got for free. Free stuff is great!

Funny

No new pics just a funny comment from Anja. Pete has been sick with pneumonia and the Doc thought it might be Tuberculosis. Just to quell your fears, it was not TB. I was explaining to the kids that when they give you that shot that puts a bubble under the skin of your arm that it is testing for TB. Anja said that she thought that it was a T.V. test and that it was to see if you were watching too much T.V. Cute huh?

Jackie's Kindergarten Graduation

Aren't they cute? I bought these leos off ebay and couldn't resist a picture when they put them on to go to gym.

Jackie while eating her chocolate graduation cake.

I always thought that Kindergarten graduations were silly. That was until one of my children was going to have one. All of a sudden it became so cute. She wants to grow up to be a nurse and her favorite subject is Science. The best was when she woke up the morning of her graduation she said, "I can't believe I'm actually graduating today." Too cute!

Memorial Day

Mom, the girls did wear thier new dresses but not until about 3 in the afternoon. We were just relaxing, trying to catch our breath from a busy weekend. Jacob was grumpy and refused to be in the picture with the girls. We did get them all out in public to be admired.

Jackie and Anja's birthday party

The day was cloudy and a little breezy so the kids got cold. Jackie and Anja were both still tired from the sleepover so they didn't do much swimming. They did have fun with their friends and got lots of great gifts.

Banquet pictures

Okay, I'm still way behind in pictures but my mom wanted some of the girls' gymnastics banquet. There is a picture of Anja with her best friend, Elizabeth. Mind you, the two of them got to be friends when they were in time out at gym. Jackie is with a few other girls her age that made team when she did. Megan is with her best friend from gym, Jenna and one other teamate, Mika. The girls had a good time getting balloons made and getting tatoos. The rest of their weekend never slowed down. The next morning they had to be at the gym by 8:30 for team pictures. We had to have them back at 4:00 for the team sleepover. The next morning we had to be at the gym at 7:30 to share in a potluck breakfast. Lastly, that afternoon from 3-6 was Jackie and Anja's birthday party at the pool. Needless to say, that was a super busy weekend.

The saga continues

Easter was wonderful. My mom was here and got to participate in our tradition of breaking confetti stuffed eggs over eachother's heads. The Bowers joined in our holiday fun. We got out the blower to clean all the confetti and eggshells off ourselves when we discovered that Kona the killer dog had a strong desire to kill the blower. See top picture.

Jackie lost her first tooth. It was not by the conventional means. Anja and Jackie were doing gymnastics in my living room.(imagine that!) Jackie wanted to "spot" Anja in something Anja can already do. When Anja kicked over out of her bridge her knee smacked Jackie in the mouth. Jackie grabbed her mouth after I heard the all to famous sucking noise a tooth makes when it comes out. We found her tooth on the floor. Her other tooth was separated from it's root but hasn't fallen out yet. The dentist says it's only a matter of time. He also said she will be toothless for atleast 2 years. It's always exciting in the Tschohl home. Mind you, this happened the day after my mom arrived.

Jackie and Anja did a performance at the nursing home with their bible study on Good Friday. They did a hula and sang and danced to several other songs. The sad thing for us is that their gymnastics schedule changed and they will no longer be able to attend this bible study. I am super sad about this because it has been good bible education for them as well as a time for crafts and songs and dance.

I finally learned how to download photos

Meemaw came to visit. We bought her a Boston Cream Pie. She had been wanting one of these for quite some time. No one was able to locate one anywhere until...she came to Hawaii. Lucky for us they sell them at Napolean's Bakery located in every Zippy's restraunt. We celebrated her birthday as soon as we got her home from the airport.

Before Meemaw's visit, Pappy was here. The kids love for him to hide Plastic Easter Eggs. He never seems to tire from hiding them no matter how many times they beg him to do it again.

Soccer season ended with another broken bone for Anja. Therefore there is only a picture of Jackie playing her last game. I forgot to take one of Anja on crutches. She is off from gymnastics for another month. She and Jackie went to the water park with Pete for their birthday present. They weren't there for an hour before going down a family slide all together. Anja's foot went under Pete's bottom and when they went into the water Pete crushed her foot underneath him. They even put in her medical chart that her foot was smashed between her dad's but (yes it did say but) and the bottom of the pool. Funny huh? Luckily they gave them a rain check. Maybe it won't be so dangerous next time.

The kids all went to the ice skating rink for a birthday party. They all loved it but I think it was the most fun for Jacob. Now he want to play hockey.

A few more pictures

I neglected to add pictures of Jacob playing soccer and this picture of Anja with her Valentine cast that followed the Christmas cast. Happy to report that she is now cast free and back to full capabilities. She is fearful of backhandsprings still. I'm sure this too will fade away and she will be back to her usual fearless daredevil self.

Where has the time gone?

I am so bad at keeping this updated. I uploaded some pictures just for fun. Jacob played soccer for just 6 weeks and now Anja and Jackie are playing. I don't have pictures of Jackie yet because her and Anja's games have been at the same time. Pete coaches Jackie's team so I am always with Anja. Maybe this week. Pappy came for a visit this month and has enjoyed a rainy Hawaii. It is spring break this week and luckily the weather has changed for the better. We have spent 3 days at the beach. The kids went to a birthday party at the ice skating rink and they all loved it. Jacob now wants to play hockey but hockey in Hawaii? Too wierd for me. Maybe the next place we move to will be more appropriate.
